FAC: First Aid Cabin
FAC is designed to sustain 100 individuals for one week immediately following an earthquake. This solution aims to provide essential supplies and tools to aid survival and rescue efforts during critical times.
Each unit is a container that serves 100 people and will be strategically placed across cities, particularly in available spaces like gathering areas, parks, gardens, parking lots, and roadsides. The goal is to ensure accessibility and immediate availability in case of an earthquake.
Ownership and Protection: Each unit will be assigned to an apartment manager or similar local authority to ensure ownership and protection, preventing misuse or neglect.
Unit Specifications:
Container Features:
Standard 40-foot container (1219cm x 245cm x 290cm) with a total volume of 76 m³.
Solar panels on the roof for sustainable power.
Water tank with faucets on both sides for sanitation needs.
Solar energy storage unit with five charging cables for mobile devices.
Interior Layout:
A central aisle of 60 cm width, flanked by shelves 87 cm wide on both sides and the back.
Four-tiered shelves, each 55 cm high.
Front Shelves: Stocked with items requiring regular replenishment like drinking water and protein/vitamin bars.
Back Shelves: Stocked with non-perishable items such as:
Generator and 100 liters of fuel.
Search and rescue tools (flashlights, batteries, drills, cutters, picks, and shovels).
First aid and hygiene products (bandages, sanitary pads, cleaning supplies).
Supplies for infants and mothers (diapers).
Items for handling casualties (body bags).
Shelters (summer and winter tents, stoves, and coal).
Maintenance and Monitoring: Units will be monitored by AFAD district and central units, with checks every three months to replace necessary items and ensure functionality.
Access Protocol: Access to the units will be controlled through a password system, with keys held by AFAD central, district centers, and the assigned apartment manager. Units can also be remotely accessed by AFAD central command.
Theft Prevention:
Units are equipped with security features, including cameras triggered by movement and unauthorized access, which send alerts and photos to AFAD central.
GPS tracking is enabled to monitor any unauthorized relocation, sending alerts if units are moved.
Maintenance Routine: AFAD teams will conduct quarterly inspections to check the exterior, interior, mechanisms, and inventory, ensuring all essential items like water are replenished.
Implementation Plan:
Development (16 months): Design hardware, interiors, and monitoring software.
Prototyping (+2 months): Create an initial prototype.
Testing (+1 month): Conduct prototype tests.
Refinement (+4 months): Improve hardware and software based on test results.
Final Testing (+1 month): Finalize tests and define contents.
Field Trials (+4 months): Deploy 10 prototypes for field tests.
Production and Placement (+12 months): Roll out 100 units for initial placement testing.
Future Production: Post-agreement, within three years, the goal is to produce and distribute 100 units. Following this, the capacity is set to produce 100 units every six months, potentially doubling output with full advance payment.
Financial Transparency: All engineering and production costs are fully transparent, reflecting our commitment to service rather than profit. The project will progress in stages, with payments structured to match the completion of each phase.
This plan outlines a comprehensive strategy to develop, produce, and deploy earthquake units that are capable of sustaining communities during emergencies, ensuring immediate access to critical supplies and tools.
